"The Cannon: The Beautiful Basics Of Science" , by Natalie Angier

One of our GradMed graduates really enjoyed reading 'The Canon: The Beautiful Basics Of Science' by Natalie Angier, an American writer.

"I found it made the various topics entertaining and accessible. I'm sure many with a stronger grounding in science would take issue with some of her crazy illustrations of basic scientific concepts but the net result was that this book spurred me on with the studying I was doing whilst at GradMed. It was easy to read when traveling and as I was keeping my application to med school quiet amongst most friends and work colleagues it wasn't as provocative as pulling out an A level chemistry book!"
