Am I even capable of getting into graduate entry medicine?

Graduate entry medicine has a reputation of being incredibly difficult but in many ways this is unfounded. Yes, the GAMSAT is a tough exam, but in the UK the scores you need to be competitive are not as high as you might think. For example, the score required at St George’s and Nottingham has been dropping in recent years and now a score of 56 is likely to secure an interview.

To put this in context you probably only need to be in the top third of GAMSAT sitters to achieve this, so good news! Also the number of graduate medicine places has grown in recent years, with new 4-year graduate courses opening at the likes of UEA, Cumbria, Surrey and others. So, if ever there was a good time to get into graduate medicine you might argue its now!
