Our Courses
We offer two types of course - the Full Preparation Course and the Intensive Revision Course. They are designed to meet the needs of different students and are broken down into modules that in total incorporate all three aspects of the test.
Strategy and technique alongside knowledge are fundamental to the core of both courses, and both run on a level of parallel intensity. They are supplemented by over a thousand pages of specifically produced course notes for each module, as well as hundreds of multiple-choice practice questions designed to emulate those produced by ACER.
It is possible to combine modules between the courses. All teaching is weekend based at the South Kensington campus of Imperial College London.
The Full Prep Course – An Overview
The full GAMSAT Prep Course has been designed to incorporate a range of modules that can be taken individually or as a collective. The content is broken down as follows:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Written Communication and Verbal Reasoning
- Maths for Science
The science-based modules are ideally suited for those with an arts or humanities background at A level and beyond, or those with a scientific background but rusty or not involved in its study for some time.
The Written Communication and Verbal Reasoning module is popular with students of all backgrounds as it helps to:
- Define the appropriate guidelines necessary for the two pieces of writing required in section II of the test.
- Define approaches including reading for tone, logical reasoning, critical and analytical thinking that provide the foundation for success in Section I.
Maths for Science helps to remove and demystify some of the barriers that are commonplace regarding use of simple equations and application. In common with much that is written these days, even some of the most academically qualified non-scientists that we teach can experience unnecessary reticence in this area.
The Intensive Revision Course – An Overview
This is a three weekend intensive programme covering all aspects of the test. The focus is on the following areas:
- Coverage on key aspects of theory within the individual sciences that are necessary in underpinning understanding key concepts and scenarios.
- Utilising customized GAMSAT resources and simulated questions.
- Implementing key test taking approaches and strategies.
